About The Artwork
This work came from my reflections of a Japanese garden at the end of autumn, with its crimson falling leaves and the pines and the snow falling gently over the stone pagoda surface. The piece is made of black clay with strokes of white slip and red tenmoku glaze. It was fired to high temperature so it is a very strong and water proof piece. The piece can be used as a sculptural object and/or as a unique flower vase.
