About The Artwork

This one is a little different for me. With larger pieces such as this I usually like to "zoom in" on the subject and let it fill the space; putting the waterlily within the context of the water might be opening up a new direction. We'll see. This is all fused glass, there's no paint involved. Actually, I think of the process as painting with glass. It's not possible to tell from the photo, but the dark line running vertically through the center of the piece is transparent. If you're interested, but have questions, let me know.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I've been working with glass for over 20 years in my studio in British Columbia, Canada. My eyesight is such that I like to be close to a piece as I'm creating it, so I spend a lot of time hovering over my workspace. For the same reason, I suppose, I like to work with tiny pieces of glass, which I then fuse together. I use my Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/SarahMillerArt/ to share the process of creating my art, because I think fused glass is still a mystery to a lot of people. I'm having trouble uploading photos to Saatchi Art, so let me know via my Facebook page if you'd like to see more views of any of my art.
