"dancing frog - frogs 'n dogs" Congruence, or the state of corresponding, forms the base of this playful research of form in repetition. Are corresponding forms still congruent if they diverge form the original, in other words is there any margin in the defenition? Isolated forms return multiplied in this series to create a feeling of movement or stillness. Not only the degree of motion, but also the positioning in relation to each other creates an illusion of communication between these forms. Where sometimes the individual forms or the overall picture can evoke an emotion. You can find more about this artwork, the collection and the artist at: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Congruence is a collection of hand drawn pen illustrations that are modified and digitized. Printed at professional Whitewall photolab on 3 mm (1/8 in.) thick matte and glare-free Forex, which is a extremely robust and lightweight substrate. Water resistant direct prints on Forex can withstand changes in the weather, meaning they are even suitable for sheltered outdoor areas and bathrooms. Picture hanging hardware is attached to the Forex, meaning you can hang your picture right away.

Born in 1974, little me read every book about nature, dinosaurs, ancient Egyptians and Dr.Seuss. A bit older, wanted to be Indiana Jones. At Willem de Kooning (art) Academy (1993-1996) in Rotterdam, really learned to look and wonder. As a former geography (and museum)teacher I ask questions, like to zoom in and out at the world. Questions are very important, so is doubt. What inspires me are both science and nature, the tension between these two worlds can sometimes be surprisingly alike. Work you can find here is 2D. I'm currently studying ceramics Art Academy in Belgium. I love the diversity of clay, I'm looking forward to putting up ceramic work here on Saatchi. I live and work with my guy, kids, two fluffy rabbits and a big red cat in the gezellige province of Brabant, The Netherlands. You can find more about me on the net.
