About The Artwork

Another painting with various paints and glues/varnish to make a knobbly textured semi-abstract. again sold by my absent-minded gallery-owner who forgets to ask who the buyer is...anyway. The original is 20 x 19 inches in acrylics, poster paint/PVA glue mix and lots of varnish in there. Layered up over many layers to get a knobbly yet smooth and textured effect. If you look carefully you can see Blobby (the dog) leaping around after a ball, trees, grass and summer colours in there. This is one of the earlier ones with a theme of trees, , dots (blobs) andcolour in semi-abstractness. Other sinclude the Turquoise Mood trilogy (No One sold), shades of Blue and Green (all three sold for tuppence halfpenny to a chum) and Morning Mist, Morning Mist Through Trees, Light Through Trees etc....seen elsewhere in my artworks. All rather successful considering I am skint...enjoyed doing it though - process etc.. Enjoy.

A chum 'borrowed me' to practice his photography - so here are some images. ........ A hobby became - rather surprisingly another occupation, after I went part-time from my consultant psychiatrist job and devoted more time to THIS . As I worked in a 'proper job' 2 days a week my ability to do exhibitions is limited, but have stuff up locally around Cheltenham in bars and offices. Mainly self-taught, but I go to classes at the excellent and very jolly Cheltenham Fine Art (CFA) School (recommended). No nonsense artist - paints etc because fun and people like my stuff. Hate 'esoteric/enigmatic' types. Anyone can shoot me if I ever say 'my art challenges perceptions' etc. Work from home studio 'Helios House' (silly but I like it name). Have painting on 4 continents, so feel slightly international. Sell via this website and word of mouth, but like many have to eat baked beans and do odd jobs to supplement income. Just thought I'd put stuff on this sight to see if I can eat less of the beans! Comments and requests always welcome (as long as constructive criticism!). Toodle Pip!
