About The Artwork

In this /the Architect/ project the conceptual text and image are presented as a diptych: two means of expression in search of pluralism in perception: Demoiselle Bonne Chance has slouched her soft hat and is peeking out through the eye holes over the brim. Her undercover identity promises mystery, or maybe plans some lawbreaking performance. The anticipation of Chance draws irresistibly towards her. In this graceful but strong back there is a promise of bon voyage. You stand at a crossroad - and make a decision. You choose a direction. There is no wrong way. Hesitation is the only loss; energy is demagnetized and does not collect the right pieces in a strong unity. Demoiselle is embraced by Kandinsky and his idea of points and moments (the points in space and the moments in time). In fact, countless strait lines can pass through a given point in space, just as every moment is a crossroad for countless opportunities, provided we allow for it. There we choose whose card to play; lights and shadows ... ---------------------- The composition is on paper, acrylic technique and pastel in the aesthetics of the "Sediment Process" on which I have been working for several years. It is a concept for visual language, based on mathematical logic and linear perspectives. The expressive units are multiple sections, which mark the horizon in the object itself and the point of view. It focuses on the artistic gesture and the idea of the aesthetics of slow motion – an ethical opportunity to observe the deviation phase and more generally... for understanding and tolerance beyond the ego.
