About The Artwork
Land and Sea 18" x 18" x 1.5" Have you ever wondered what the birds see while you are here on earth? Is it peaceful and muted or dramatic? This is my imagined view of land and sea - together, and somehow separated. The land is arid, desert-like but varied in its coloring as the depth changes. The water cuts into the land in blues, ranging for deep to bold. The painting is on canvas which has been attached to a treated birch wood panel 1.5" deep. The panel has been finished with a deep walnut stain, providing a minimal "frame" for the art itself. It is ready to hang, including hardware, but could also be framed.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, my artistic career began at an early age when I began painting with my mother on Sunday afternoons.
