About The Artwork

To restart is to look back. Acknowledging the past has a powerful role in restarting and shaping the present and future. The twisted road we are in is the legacy of the nation’s reoccurring problems. The whole Filipino community, symbolized by the maya birds, should be well-informed and mindful enough about the past for us to move forward. We must tell the truth and spark action for us to heal the deep wounds inflicted on our past. As a community, we must look back and ponder on our collective experience for us to judge how we can pave a way for a better tomorrow.
