ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a series from a few years ago based on the influence of popular science readings, which Annabel Andrews has always been passionate about. The look at the macrocosm and the stellar environment. She creates mental landscapes inspired by readings on astronomy and astrophysics. It is acrylic and pigments diluted with casein glue. Worked with layers of paint and looking for the lights on the edges of the shapes. She is signed on the front and on the back.

Annabel Andrews was born in the Isle of Wight in 1940 now lives and works in El Escorial near Madrid Spain, where the colour, light and volumes of the mountains inspire her work. As also her friendship with the late Spanish artists Pablo Palazuelo and Jose Guerrero. By preparing her own canvases with home made casein glue base and zinc white the work is light and luminous ready for applying acrylic colours.
