Bernard Prillieux a commencé à exposer à Paris dans une Galerie de Saint-Germain des Près au début des années 80. Durant une quinzaine d'années il a participé aux 4 expositions collectives de cette Galerie. A cette époque il peignait dans un style différent mais malgré tout réaliste. Les tableaux vendus partaient essentiellement hors de France.... Certains d'entre eux furent édités en cartes postales ou servirent d'illustrations dans des livres. Puis il s'est intéressé au "Trompe l’œil" pour l'humour qu'on peut y glisser. Depuis 5/6 ans il se consacre plus à Hyperréalisme, style qui lui correspond mieux et qui réclame une grande patience et un regard aiguisé !!! Il aime peindre des thèmes simples pour en magnifier la banalité.
