ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The illusion of everyday life; acrylic on canvas; canvas, oil; 2019 70 x 100 cm; 27.5591 x 39.3701 inches I create new art with my stylized trees. But it’s different. Black-and-white acrylic and the state of nature allowed me to show eksperria and a rich politra of emotions without color. My trees always symbolize people. Their interaction is communication and state of mind. Art work shows how very different people try to interact. Strong feelings, attempts to understand something completely incomprehensible. The price is indicated with a huge holiday discount! But this is not for long Art work is ready to hang on the wall! All you need is to buy it. It will look good in a very different interior. I will transfer 10% of the sale of this work to Greenpeace, because I think about the future of the planet. Now in Russia there should be snow. Usually it falls in October or November. Now is the end of December. Soon a new year, but there is still no snow

Artistic Statement I paint large scale contemporary pieces, up to three meters, that combine Expressionism and Abstract Expressionism. Also my artworks are land or seascapes and figurative art. The mix of styles creates is a dialogue between interior emotions and the outside environment. I like to think that all my art comes from a place of optimism and a celebration of life. I believe that the art and objects that we surround ourselves with can motivate people and infuse our lives with positive energy. I have always maintained, and tell my art students, that good art requires steady and constant effort and practice, so I make sure I paint every day. I am also constantly looking for ways to add new elements, stylistically and conceptually, to my work. Bio Aleksandra Cherepanova based in New York, but was born, grew up and was educated in Moscow, Russia. She earned her MFA in painting in 2007 from University Natalia Nesterova in Moscow and relocated to the US in 2020. Over the past decade Aleksandra had solo shows and participated extensively in group shows in NYC as well the US, Europe and Asia. Over this time, she has received Jury Prizes in many competitions as well as serving as judge for several exhibitions. Aleksandra’s work is also in museums and private collections around the world. Aleksandra now works mainly painting large scale abstract and semi-representational pieces. Additionally, she has an ongoing video series interviewing local NYC artists on YouTube.
