About The Artwork
“Lace” is a material from the 16th century and is still in our daily lives, a material which reminds me of some beautiful memories. My childhood is what inspired me in this work. The lace I knitted during my childhood always gave me the intuition that I had a deeper interest in art. In this work, I wanted to adapt the lace I personally knitted with contemporary art and achieved a Monoprint Print by providing effective color contrasts with acrylic paint. The size of the study is 25 * 25cm. The feeling I want to transfer to the audience is to feel “the joy of living”.

Studied at Dumlupınar University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Visual Communication Design and also studying Master Degree of Art & Design. To further develop herself, she went to The United States of America for improving her english and continue her art research. She conducted scientific study of impressionist, expressionist, surrealist and fauist works of artists whose works were exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum, The Guggenheim Museum and Moma. In addition she studied plastic makeup at The Christine Valmy International Esthetic School in Manhattan. She also received special training as makeup artist from the known French brand “Make Up Forever”. Unfortunately after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage, she had a complex surgery. Upon recovery she returned to her homeland Istanbul, Turkey where she continues to study art and produce her works.
