ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I love aspen and birch trees and there is something very special about the forests here in north western BC in Canada, especially in the cold, white wonderland of midwinter. Even ravens move silently through the mountains, forests and skies. It has a quiet, pure peace where words are not necessary nor wanted.

I was born in South Africa and then studied for at Rhodes University under professor Brian Bradshaw. I lived in Northwestern British Columbia, Canada for 9 years. and during that time opened an art gallery (with gift shop), and a working studio where I painted and taught people to do the same. Although being a landscape painter using pastel has been a lifelong love, I now explore other media in an effort to express my strong thoughts and emotions\ . This has been a voyage of discovery where I have found new dimensions I was only able to dream of in the past. Please note that ALL of my images (C.N.
