Scarlet Dreams Collage

Nature always serves as a creative jumpstart for me. In this work I began layering my painted papers with mediums creating a textural feel. It became so intense with the colors , that leaf-like patterns evolved and one sheet of 300lb. Arches Archival paper would not suffice, so a diptych seemed to make sense. I felt that with the combined design, patterns, colors and integrating high-gloss gels it gave the work an intense dream-like scenario. Thus the title Scarlett Dreams. This artwork is professionally framed in a warm gold , the papers are floating on a neutral linen mat, no glass over it, so the textural elements really stand out.
