About The Artwork
The Avenging Angel is a Tiffany stained glass in 3D and represents the second piece of an angels series. I used painted pieces of glass soldered together to get volume. Using a metal frame in a gothic form I intended to expresses rage and sadness In contrast to the kneeling position of the angel, the wing gives away the torment and the emotional battle that I wanted to suggest. Its violent color palette and shape suggest a less passive attitude and expresses a clash of feelings and thoughts.
