About The Artwork
This is a collage made from recycled brown shopping bags. First I paint the bags and then I rip them and glue them to the canvas. I have been working with this technique for over two decades. My Great Aunt Ruthie who lives in Queens Village, NY was my inspiration for this artwork. She is 100 years old. She got sick with Covid in 2020 and I went to help her recover. These roses were on her front stoop that summer.
