VIEW IN MY ROOM
This artwork deals with the fine line between repression and freedom, outside and inside. Is freedom something that has to be granted from the outside, or is it something we carry within? Is the repression of self a cage or an opportunity? This is a collage made from 80s and 90s vintage magazine photography, glued to a thin cardboard base. Because of the production process, there may be some texture (small scratches, tears, air pockets). Hanging hardware is not included.

Germany
I am a self-taught artist by passion that lives and works in Germany. My art is free like I am free: there is no common theme or style to it. My art is very personal and very universal at the same time. What I try to capture and communicate in all of my artworks is a certain abstract feeling or association - something that can be very clear and very vague at the same, like a deeply buried memory, an experience of pop culture we all share or a special, intimate hint of nostalgia. I mostly work with photographs that are removed from 80s or 90s magazines.
