About The Artwork
Once in Thailand, watching the lotuses, I was amazed how the sun's rays pierce through the thickness of the lotus leaves. As the light shines through the leaf and you see all the smallest veins, it glows. I really like lotuses, even with a closed flower box, they are so beautiful, delicate, graceful, mesmerizing with their greenery. There were no sketches for this work, it was immediately created on a copper plate. Etching printed from copper plate size 71,5/30,2 sm (28,1/11,9'') Intaglio printing. Limited edition of 3. Imprint 2 from 3. Signed and numbered by the artists. Created in 2008. NOTE: Etching paper can wavy from changes in humidity and temperature, but don't worry - when you place the etching in the frame under the glass, it will flatten out. Or you can bring the etching in the framing workshop for alignment, while some paper will be cut off from the edges.
