The Panner has been working his find for so long now, that he has blended into his surrounds. sometimes he's the "lichen" attached to a forlorn tree that has miraculously survived in these harsh conditions, and sometimes he's the un-catalogued "moss" on a frequently trodden rock. He's not concerned that he is the only two-legged creature in these whereabouts; He's not concerned for the outcome anymore either. It's the most natural and peaceful existence for him. Without time limits or restraints, he can flop down, kick the pan at will, and rest his leathery wrist on his raised bent knee.
