About The Artwork
Meditation, Woman #3 This is a large multimedia work (49.3 x 35 in.) printed on fine art photographic paper, lacquered and glued to a thick cardboard (half inch thick) adding oils, acrylics and topped with epoxy. Film photography digitally processed. The photography was made with a Contax AX with a Carl Zeiss Sonnar 135 mm. lens. Aesthetically, I consider some of my photographic and multimedia work as an extension or continuation of the work of “de Chirico,” the metaphysician’s world inhabited by mannequins, presences, archetypes, yet my constant references to "woman" point obliquely to the work of de Kooning.

Mexico
Born in Monterrey, Mexico. The family moved to Mexico City when he was three years old. Belonging to a family of artists, received training in the fine arts from early childhood. First work on film and photography was done for his father (who made documentaries). Years later began accumulating negatives made during trips as a music performer. Those negatives (several thousands) became the basis of future imageries to be transformed. Made studies in Mexico, England, Belgium and the USA.
