About The Artwork

Just like the make up of every single persons eyes on this planet, though we might share the same color, we are completely different. When I first started this collection, I had nothing more than the idea of bringing color into almost everything dark that had become my life. As soon as I had committed myself to doing these, I quickly realized I had let someone take away my sunshine. No matter how many colors I was putting down, it was only others who found themselves engaged. Myself being color blind I gave reason and excuses to not finding life or movement. Though up til now, and while still getting further away from my light, or just having someone be the thief of my joys and rhythm of the beat to my heart. I may soon give in and go lifeless but these pieces will go on carrying that light... giving my life and love of expression for, and to others. Let the one thats meant for you choose you... You will know what I mean as this collection grows and fades away like the sun in and out of another day. To the owner of my lost elephant I say, maybe you will finally get your final wish from me as I meet my end...... yet....... Still I fight! because still I love! What a fool.

"If there were two of me, we could do it"- Z.Z. Zak Zanella - Artist - Los Angeles, California based artist, born July 18th, 1985 in West Los Angeles, California. I am an American and French citizen currently living in Los Angeles with a vibrant pallet and sense of flow and fluidity that likes to have the gazing never stop in my work. I went to Taft High in Woodland Hills, CA, then started to major in art at Los Angeles Valley College where I had made the deans list and was asked to represent the school in the states arts exhibition. After my time there I went to Santa Barbara City College, where I met and learned from my favorite art teacher, leaving impacts that still ring fresh, Ed Inks, where I also took 3D design as a minor where I got to learn how to do lost castings, making molds, and sculptures and such. I always thought I’d be the starving artist someday, and I’m proud to say that today I am exactly that. It makes me put every last bit of my mind, body, and soul into my creations. I love abstract works and like to consider myself someone who puts paint on canvas and other things with balance and intention. Everyday I try to let myself laugh and let myself cry, and accept my faults and reward my accomplishments no matter how small they might be. From the beginning until the end of everyday I choose to be the rawest version of me without interference or tampering so I can express exactly that when able. I go by FATSLOW, which might catch you off guard some day if it already hasn’t. Furthermore I’m pleased to present my second of many endeavors called, “The Colorblind Collection”, which I will continue to show little by little hopefully drawing in more and more fans while driving would-be fanatics away from an overdose of repetition. I can’t help it. I must. It’s multiple mediums on stretched canvas in multiple sizes and colors ready for hanging. There is one specifically for each person, as no two are alike but share many of the same traits. I hope you find yours. Thank you for your time.... Try to do something nice for someone every single day.....And please.... enjoy.
