About The Artwork
Aum is the sound of sacred spiritual symbol in India. It is often chanted either independently or before a spiritual recitation and during meditation, religious festivals. Marriages or any other sacred rituals. Aum refers to Atman(self within) and Brahman(ultimate realization of the Universe, truth, divine, supreme spirit, cosmic and principles of knowledge). Art is done by placing tiny dots of different colors next to each other to create texture and harmony with different colors. Our mind are able to fill in the gaps and combine different colors to create a picture as a whole. Here the artist has composed this shape with tiny dots of different colors to create the impression of depth. Each dot reflects light to create shadow, which creates an impression of textured surface.

I was born just a year before my country got its independence - in 1946 in India. As I grew, so did my country. I have seen it rise from a dusty, sleepy country to a major player in the world market. I also spent more than a decade as a radio officer in the merchant navy and had the opportunity to travel the world.
All this has shaped my view of the world and I feel I am better for it. My paintings incorporate the diversity I have experienced during my life.
Adventurer, teacher, landscapist...or all of these?
As an artist I have no formal training and am entirely self taught. I do not adopt a single style of art. My work reflects touches of abstract, nature studies, charcoal sketches, still life, pointillism, impressionism and some spiritual overtones.
My prime motivation is to share and evoke creativity in everyone, especially children.
