About The Artwork
Black Ribbon is a triptych that can be assembled however you like. It could be horizontal or vertical. I created this piece to be yours, however you see it. It is supposed to inspire you as much as me. My vision is as viewed in the image here, but it is in no way locked into this order. All three panels I built from scratch with salvaged wood from PhD's shop. I sewed and constructed the two cord and paper pieces to stretch onto two of the panels and the third I used some salvaged aluminum poly cotton material that was given to me by a business to recycle on which to paint my black ribbon.
