Cool World (We'll Miss It When It's Gone) Painting

Cool World is an acrylic on canvas painting, inspired by the joy and enrichment that nature gives me. The painting is strong and direct, but can also feel floating and calm. The green, yellow and pale grey evoke a cool mood. In this work, I was contemplating our shrinking ice caps, thinking about our warming world, when what we need is a cooling one. This work is part of the series We'll Miss It When It's Gone. The painting is strung and ready to be hung on a wall. In addition, the wide profile of the canvas (1.5") means it can be freestanding on a console table or on a bookshelf.
