A new vibrant abstract watercolor called "Danish Sea". This painting is about the colors on a stormy summer day... these dramatic colors are found in summer in Denmark near the North Sea - yellow cornfields, changing weather, sun breaking through after heavy rains ...

As the colors are difficult to catch, they may show differently on the different monitors.
The photo with the white frame shows the original colors best!

Shown here in a Dín A 4 white washed magnetic frame without mat (example). I sell it unframed, so you can decide how you want to frame it - bigger or smaller! Should you want this frame, too, you can contact me about it, it s a quite expensive museum quality magnetic HALBE frame. I can also advise you where you get them in all colors.

Painting size 21x29,7 cm, Din A 4.
Watercolors on 300g Arches paper, signed on the back.

Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
