About The Artwork

ETIAM MINIMUM INFINITE MAXIMUM "Even the smallest thing is infinitely large". This is one of my new works as part of the Void 2099 project, which is dedicated to archiving the insect species. I invite you to see more photos and video of this painting on my Instagram baskal_art Man's relationship with the Scarab dates back to the earliest days of history, and it is certainly the most widely observed, considered and depicted insect thousands of years ago. In the Egypt of the Pharaohs, the Scarab was considered sacred, symbolising the sun and creation. It evoked, with life reborn from non-living matter, the myth of eternal return. It was considered so important that it was placed in the most revered site: the Pharaoh's heart. This painting is done in mixed media, the main object of the painting is a beetle, painted in oil, the background has a relief structure, made of ecological materials and covered in black pigment, and depicted embedded in 'now-cooled lava rocks'. Oil painting on canvas Mix Media One of a kind artwork Size: 80 × 80 × 2 cm The artwork is titled and signed on the front and also comes with a certificate of authenticity. The painting is ready to hang and has painted sides. Thanks for looking!

Hello! I am artist living in Rome, Italy. My works reflect the way how we perceive nature and interact with it. I embrace the philosophy which considers humankind as an integral part of nature rather than one trying to dominate it. My paintings express my commitment for a healthy ecosystem and the inseparable connections between a human being and nature. Using vivid but natural colors I create a special place and time that carries the viewer on a new existential journey. My aim is to give an emotional and psychological experience to the viewer through my artworks by creating a dialogue between the fragility of the human nature and the natural world to encourage people's respectful behavior towards our environment.I believe that art projects that address ecological topics can really promote a more environmentally responsible way of thinking. And I would like to be part of this process. You’re welcome to take a trip through my artworks on Instagram and feel free to contact me on social networks. Thank you!
