IMMORTALITY is the belief in the interminability of the human being, especially the human soul. This belief forms the core of myths and religions. The origins of the idea of immortality were the beliefs in the divine origin of the soul, its simplicity, immateriality and indestructibility. The understanding of immortality is different in different philosophical discourses. Four types can be distinguished from them, within the framework of which completely different interpretations of immortality are presented: 1) eidetic, which connects immortality with communion with the world of eternal ideas, 2) Christian, which proceeds from the mortality of man as a unity of body and soul and connects immortality with the Resurrection and communion with the grace of the Holy Spirit. 3) naturalistic, emphasizing the impermanence of human nature and the immortality of its originals (migrating atoms, "germ plasm", genetic code, etc.), 4) socio-cultural, seeing in immortality-the preservation of personal achievements in memory
