Mitsivas Painting

Mitsivas is a large colourful abstract artwork in my reform series. I have used bold linear shapes and a careful balance of colour and structure. The end result is a striking, yet calming artwork. The painting has been continued over onto the sides which adds another dimension to the artwork, and also means it does not need to be framed. I have signed the painting and finished it off with several layers of matte varnish coat to highlight the colours, and to protect the painting. Matsivas has been painted on beautifully constructed custom made 120cm x 90xm Victorian Ash stretchers on 12 oz cotton canvas. The above photos present Matsivas in a home setting, though it would work equally well in an office environment.
