Monologue (Poem) Sometimes when we sit to discuss, She plays me episodes of her life in my absence Not just her busy life of a nurse But how her feelings and thoughts diffuse like burnt incense Her thoughts are visible like hibiscus Blown away by the wind out of her lonely presence She talks to herself even on a bus Though feels like a dialogue but a monologue that makes sense. Do I love him?, does he love me? Why do these happen in the absence of him? Will it end in a beautiful Harmony? Or with arguments and above my head is steam? I'm still worried if he'll flee But my thoughts differ from how our lives seam Two separate pieces once free Stitched together with love held with high esteem These were what her thoughts portrayed It was like a war, a mental violent cascade Causing mental illness but no first-aid So, this has been happening for a decade And I've been in the dark, ignorant and mislaid And I've been blocked out with a barricade On a lighter note let's call a spade a spade If I was aware, I would still have stayed. -Aluu Prosper
