Periwinkle Painting

It seems like portraiture has taken on a new abstract collage-like and colorful approach, so I thought, why not for horses too? I choose to add floral designs to dressage horses. I minimized the rider to simple tone-on-tone shapes to highlight the realistic horse face and bridle. I can imagine this painting living in a young horse lover's bedroom, or to add a little razzle-dazzle to a bookcase in a home office.
