Series "Lonely Crow" I have been working as a video artist since 2001. I have seen various people through the camera lens. I am most interested in people's communication efforts. So my production style is to become a storyteller. I will make a story born out of miscommunication and make it a improvised painting. From 2018, the story I am working on is the title "Lonely Crow". This story depicts the relationship between the side that uses power and the side that is used. The relationship is expressed by replacing it with a human and a crow. People make groups and send social life. Generally, the crow is considered as well. However, it seems that crows are not forming groups based on discipline. There are people in the group who sway power and be swayed. What if those people are crows? Taro Okamoto, a Japanese painter who loved crows, also touched on the same subject in his own book. This is a self-portrait I painted to see if I was a crow.

I have been working as a video artist since 2001. I have a wide variety of video genres. Movie, documentary, music video, corporate advertisement, etc. In addition, since 2018, I expanded the range of activities as artists including paintings and installations. As a video artist for advertising, I have been staring at the various people through the camera’s viewfinder. There is absolutely something that separates the photographer from the interviewed person or actor. It may be the difference between the way of thinking and the growing environment, or the problem of closeness with each other. Those separations that can not be visualized are called boundaries. Rather than defining the boundaries as words, I try to express them in paintings.
