About The Artwork
This painting is inspired by my ongoing love affair with Deep Space which started at an early age. I am always looking to translate the images from my head onto the canvas so others can feel the fascination I do with Nebula's, Galaxies and Deep Space. With this painting, I especially wanted to try to create a piece of circular artwork that reflects the shape of our planet, but within the confines of that circular canvas give a feeling of the vastness of space. Artistic process When painting with resin and ink I give it my utmost concentration. The process is dynamic and rapid which I enjoy. The layering of the inks with the resin is exciting, sometimes frustrating, but on the whole, a tremendously satisfying process as the painting emerges from my actions. With Serene Nebula, I especially love the way the inks have merged with the resin and yet held their own to glimmer, shine and reflect as light shines, reflects, drawing the eye in so that you can enjoy the painting.

I am a British Indian artist based in London. Mostly self-taught, my love of fine drawing, painting and ceramics started at an early age. Never limiting myself to one medium I enjoy trying new experimental ideas and actively pursue educating myself further in order to create exciting new works of art whether they be in clay, canvas or paper. Many of my influences are rooted in my travels and I always try to catch a glimpse of the starry night skies wherever I land. I love vivid bright colours, how they work together, fuse, contrast and especially how they affect the viewer to lift their mood. I have worked on several commissions and my work is held in private collections in India, Singapore, USA and UK. I am a member of Chandos Art Group, Harrow Open Studios and Pinner Sketch Club and have participated in their exhibitions. Alas even being an artist doesn’t save me from our tortoise, Skylar’s, death glare if there are no tomatoes in his lunch!
