These three painting were inspired by an evening walk around a lake. It was a peaceful evening in the English countryside. The first painting is called 'Anything for Me?' and depicts one of the swans gliding towards me looking at me sideways in the hope I might have some bread. The second painting 'I have nothing to say' is when the swan had lost interest in me when it realised I did not have any food. I really like the way the swans feathers are catching the evening light and the how this contrasts with the dark water. The third painting 'Do Not Disturb' shows the swan sleeping in the evening light. Once again I like the way the warm evening sun is catching the white feathers on the swans neck. Today, the British Monarch retains the right to ownership of all unmarked mute swans in Englands open water. This is unframed set of 3 paintings of mute swans. Each painting is 6" x 6" square. Although these paintings are sold unframed I have included photos of how they may look framed for illustration purposes only. 6” x 6” is a standard size so finding a frame that you like should be relatively easy. Alternatively you could have them custom framed in one large frame. Thank you for taking the time to view my work.
