About The Artwork
This body of work is about the power and strength of girls. She has a gaze that is calm and strong despite the surrounding waves. She is taking back control on a metaphorical sea. As with all my work, I'm interested in movement, the strangeness of memory recall, and heightened events that are both grounded in reality and outside of the way the eye sees.
