About The Artwork
I had seen the theatrical version of Anna Seghers' novel Transit in the Deutsches Theater Berlin. This theater visit inspired me to the triptych transit. In her novel Seghers writes: "All had only one wish: to leave. Everyone had only one fear: to stay behind. Away, only from this collapsed land, away from this collapsed life, away from this star! " In her novel, Seghers portrays the fate of refugees who, in their flight from the Nazis in Marseilles in 1940/41, try to get the documents for their emigration overseas in the thicket of the authorities and regulations. The triptych consists of three panels, each 80x100cm. The price is the price for all three paintings. The pictures can also be purchased individually for the price of 845 dollars each.

Since 2010 Deputy Chairman of Culture Point Stilus e.V. Lives and works in Berlin, Schönwalde-Glien and Angermünde.
