About The Artwork
Growing up by the sea has given me an appreciation for the power that it beholds. My mother and I would collect shells off the shore and rinse them off to uncover the detailed, unique patterns that had taken shape on them overtime. This painting represents the flowing nature of the ocean and the layers of time that take place on things that have been around it for thousands of years. The canvas is covered in layers of water based house paint, acrylics and graphite covered with a fixative.
