About The Artwork

Following charges of illicit coaching to Serena Williams' coach during the 2018 US Open final, referee Carlos Ramos issued a warning to the tennis player. This felt wrongly warned. "I'm not cheating, I'd rather lose." With these words, the drama took its course, at the end of which Serena Williams lost the final. A rare spectacle - not only because Serena Williams whistled to the harmony of society. What's more, she did not want to control her feelings any more and let herself be overwhelmed by her anger. She lost the match but won something much more important - herself. For what is more desirable than to be true to the inner feeling, rather than to control oneself for the recognition of a society that honors the appropriateness. In this sense, I want to inspire with my image "Win or loss?" To live feelings instead of controlling them.
