About The Artwork

"Gossip" Story& Message How much time goes by talking the small talk - saying words that are not meant. Gossip may make us feel better in the short term, but it doesn’t do us much good in the long term. All the competing and bitterness catches up with us in the end. The time that is wasted on gossip could be spent building meaningful relationships, which are based on empathy. The chitter-chatter whispered in our ears is just noise. What we really want is wholesome conversations with people we can trust. From my Project: "Time is the Issue" Time has always been my obsession. The lack of it. The overwhelming abundance of it. When I was young there was too much time and I didn’t know what to do with it. That was frightening. Hours and hours of time and no ideas on how to enjoy them. Then abundance turned into a constant lack and deprivation. I can’t spend too much time on this, I’ll be late for that. I need it fast. I don’t want to waste time. ASAP! No time to think. No time to stop and see where I’m going. So the time started to stop itself making me travel with it with the speed of light. My obsession went full circle. I learned to bend time. But only occasionally. When I finally get inside of a moment and stay there. Stay in the moment. Not chasing it. Just being there. The project started with me wanting to show ways of wasting time. Then turned into a self-reflection on my own relationship with it. Limited Original Edition museum-quality print on Hahnemühle Bamboo Paper, signed and numbered, with a certificate of authenticity. Available in sizes: 50x50cm (19.7 x 19.7 in.) - 4 70x70cm (27.6 x 27.6 in.) - 4 100x100cm (39.4 x 39.4 in.) - 4 120x120cm (47.2 x 47.2 in.) - 4 All unframed prints have a 3cm (1.2 inch) border and are signed on the front and on the back.

Dasha Pears is an award-winning photo artist, working in the style of "psychorealism", portraying the reality of what's going on in the human inner world. Aesthetically clean and pleasing artworks are like doors to a surreal universe where any psychological state becomes beautiful. Dasha uses the instruments of surrealism, minimalism, color, photography, and digital manipulation to tell surprising visual stories with a twist. In her stories, she speaks about deepest psychological matters, bringing things that are usually considered unpretty to light, making them shine with different colors and aesthetically appealing. This way Dasha's art gives viewers a chance to be at peace with themselves, providing an almost physically soothing effect on the human psyche. Dasha started on her artistic path in 2010. Since then her images have been exhibited numerous times in countries like Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Spain, Poland, Finland, Russia, Mexico, and Israel. Dasha’s works are acclaimed by over 10 prestigious art and photography competitions, among them, is the Smithsonian Magazine Award and a gold medal from the Photographic Society of America. Today her art pieces are in over 100 private collections worldwide, including those in London, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Tel-Aviv, etc. Dasha's creations are owned by expert art lovers working for Sotbey's, Harvard Art Museum, and Obama Foundation.
