Racing the Breaking Wave Photograph

I made this image from Brighton Palace Pier looking over the beach towards the evening sun. I felt the higher viewpoint helped show the water's expanse and I loved the angle of the light which helped define the wave structure. The woman added a human element I that I always like to include if I can, and she helped define a further sense of scale to the waves. I like the way the sea appears to be alive, targeting her, chasing her, snapping at her heels.
