Contact us.Flóra Borsi is a contemporary artist working with photography, constructed imagery, and painting to explore identity, self-perception, and the emotional complexities of the human experience. Her artistic journey began in early childhood through drawing, winning numerous competitions before expanding into digital media. At age 13, feeling that reality alone was not enough, she began merging photography with Photoshop manipulation. A pivotal life event later drew her deeper into photography - driven by a fear of mortality and a desire to leave a lasting presence on Earth through art.
After reaching major career milestones, the rise of artificial intelligence radically transformed the visual arts landscape by making accessible to millions what was once the domain of a few. Processing years of anger and struggles over copyright infringement, Borsi embarked on a new chapter by turning to painting - a fresh start funded and made possible by her dedicated community.
Working across photography, digital construction, and painting, Borsi builds psychological spaces where symbolism, surrealism, and carefully orchestrated visual metaphors become vehicles for exploring memory, intimacy, vulnerability, and transformation. Her recurring use of animals, fragmented portraits, and concealed identities reflects an ongoing investigation into the relationship between the inner self and its outward representation.
Borsi belongs to a generation of artists who redefined the possibilities of photographic self-portraiture in the digital age, using constructed imagery not as visual illusion but as a psychological and symbolic language.
Over the past decade, her work has been exhibited internationally in Europe and the United States, including at the Louvre in Paris, as well as in solo exhibitions at Lanoue Gallery in Boston and Anna Laudel in Düsseldorf. Her artwork is held in museum and private collections worldwide.
Borsi’s work has received broad international recognition: she was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30, selected as Hasselblad's first Heroine of the Year, and won the Grand Prize at the Florence Biennale. Her practice has been highlighted by major publications including BBC Culture and The Guardian’s Observer. Alongside her fine art practice, Borsi has collaborated with leading international brands including Adobe, for whom she created both the global face of Adobe Photoshop and the visual identity of Adobe Creative Cloud.
