Whilst my most favored genre is bird photography I do dabble in other fields and part of that is experimentation. This is all subjective of course and a photograph of nuts and bolts may trigger a memory for some and draw a complete blank with others, and that's OK. To a mechanic, miner, builder o...

Contact us.I was born and raised in Tasmania, Australia. My first education in light and stillness happened on the Southern Ocean pounded shores of Bruny Island and the East Coast - places that taught me to notice, wait, and frame quickly, before it vanished. By 16, I was more likely to be holding a screwdriver and pliers than a surfboard or camera, as I was now apprenticed as an Electrician, and from there I wandered down the rabbit hole of almost every fascinating variant that the trade offered - Motor winding, High-Voltage switching, Industrial Electronics, and the wonderfully obsessive world of Instrumentation and Calibration, where being “close enough” is simply another phrase for “try again” or "no, that's just not good enough".
From a young age I’ve coaxed images from Instamatics, folding 120/620 film cameras, and manual 35mms, after getting film after film of failures, out of frame and out of focus shots, and breathed darkroom chemicals in high school while excitedly watching prints emerge like miracles under the red light. I have embraced digital photography not as a betrayal of the craft but as a brilliant new way to chase and catch the same light. As for the heart and soul - I have 3 kids , grown up now. Yes, I’ve been burnt, "rewound", recalibrated, and now happily married (again), which suggests I did learn something from the damage and then applied it.
So in short : I can connect wires, capture light, and have finally figured out that both require respect for the process, a steady hand, and knowing when not to touch something live. Our local snakes are all highly venomous and electricity bites so you learn quickly ! Now 65, I am enjoying a new creative and free phase, and hope I can offer you something new and different. cheers, Greg
Please note: Any works showing as "not for sale" or "not available" are likely just waiting on packing supplies or being printed/finalised and likely will be available in a week or two. Personally, I feel that prints to metal are superior, will last much longer and unlike paper prints don't require that extra cost of framing . If you must have it on paper though, send a message and we might be able to sort something. I'm here to assist, not resist. ;-)
