This series of very limited original etchings are based upon a Fresco by Fra Angelico called, "The Annunciation" (1442-43), 230 x 321 cm, at the Convento di San Marco, Florence. My title, “THE EGG, ARCHANGEL, AND AROMA OF LILACS: VIRGINAL CONCEPTION” relates to the work's colors and actions. The ovum sits central above the scene surrounded by sacred seeds.
The zinc plate used for this etching measured (6) six-inches high by (9) nine-inches wide (15.240cm by 22.860cm), which is also the image’s size. The paper (print) measures (11) eleven-inches high by (15) fifteen-inches wide (27.940cm x 38.100cm). Shipment box is 19 inches high by 24 inches long by 5 inches wide.
