Art Description

Sculpture: Marble, Granite on Marble, Stone.

This original gray marble sculpture on granite pedestal is one of the latest artworks of the skillful Bulgarian professional sculptor Ognyan Chitakov, deeply inspired by naturalism, postmodernism and abstract art. Bucephalus was the horse of Alexander the Great, and one of the most famous horses of antiquity. He was named after a branding mark depicting an ox's head on his haunch. A massive creature with a massive head, Bucephalus is described as having a black coat with a large white star on his brow. His breeding was that of the "best Thessalian strain." This beautiful artwork is one extraordinary marble masterpiece and exquisite modern home décor.

"Each stone material is alive and has a soul. I never ignore it and its gravity as well. I try to give each artwork the feeling of lightness." ... by the artist
