About The Artwork
My mother was a teacher all her life, her talent was based on being a very good listener and being a very good guide, this is the first sculpture I made of her after she died at 57 years of cancer, there are certain iconic works that Throughout my production they were inspired by her. His talent focused on helping children with limited economic resources, especially children of peasants who worked corn and corn in Mexico City who settled in marginalized areas and children with learning disabilities. In this work, his spirit becomes the protector of small animals that he protects in each sea shell that covers his torso and back. With special care he went to the sea, to life, first to his younger brothers, then to his three children, while generations after generations of children gave them tools to build their own destiny in an honest way. All my series is dedicated to her.
