Spirit of Place-Torn Posters

This collection of artworks reflects my passion for torn, ripped and rearranged posters taken from the streets of Italy and occasionally at home. 'Decollage' is the reassembly of these ripped pieces and are either put together as a snapshot memory of a particular street, a city or a time. The vibrancy, colour and life of these pieces reflect perfectly the noise and life of the Italian street. Sun bleached, weathered, layered and torn, these posters create their own street art and after spending many hours observing them I then create my own interpretation of some incredible places. In them they have the 'spirit of the place'.
