The first time I saw Magnolia was in a botanical garden in Kiev. The second time I saw this plant was in China, in April, when everything is in bloom. All these magnolias fell, showered leaves into the canals, and when a tourist boat with red lanterns sailed along these canals, it was a fabulous spectacle. And I saw a magnolia twig and looked at it for a long time - I liked that it has such unusual twigs, like a little plastic, and the leaves with a thickening, so I want to take and bite it off, they are like cakes. As if the artist took, blinded these leaves, stitched it all together, glued it together and created such a fabulous plant. And Magnolia has a very tasty magical honey smell. And some special charming magnetism. I was struck then by this plant, and for some time I drew various sketches and in 2008 I made just such a magnolia immediately on copper, without sketches, without anything - it was so diverse right away. It seems to me that even the smell from her still emanates. Etching printed from copper plate size 75,6/53,2 sm (29,8/20,9'') Intaglio printing. Limited edition of 5. Imprint 3 from 5. Signed and numbered by the artists. Created in 2008. NOTE: Etching paper can wavy from changes in humidity and temperature, but don't worry - when you place the etching in the frame under the glass, it will flatten out. Or you can bring the etching in the framing workshop for alignment, while some paper will be cut off from the edges.
