Read more here in the article "A Modern-Day Monet -- Jennings Ingram" .html Jennings Ingram is a fine artist painting and enjoying life in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. Having grown up essentially in the woods on horseback, Ingram has long studied and admired the dynamic athleticism that characterizes her main subject matter, the horse, as well as natural landscapes. She starts a painting by drawing from her sketches of exquisite, attention-grabbing moments in equine athletics; her oil paintings are celebratory tributes to the swing phase of a perfect piaffe, the ultimate airborne moment of a Grand Prix competitor, or the majesty of a stallion at liberty, as well as the great partnerships between horses and people that lead to these moments. One of her greatest joys in life is capturing the essence of such partnerships in commissioned pieces, resulting in evocative tributes to unforgettable duos that will be passed down from generation to generation. She also takes great interest in mustangs and their interactions, and aspires to open a wild horse sanctuary later in life. Ingram trained at The Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland, and paints with the the same line of premium, imported German oil paints first put on the map by Vincent Van Gogh (LUKAS 1862). The combination of extensive hands-on equestrian education through the USPC, USEF, and NCDCTA, top-tier art education, and premium pigments have led to works of art that are a mix of studied, classic quality and lush, contemporary, thoroughly original flair. The artist and her team look forward to welcoming you into the Jennings Ingram art collecting community!
