Chrysalis examines how transitory our lives have become as shaped by contemporary times. Part of a collaborative series created by Amber Stene & Jodi Lightner, addressing the necessity of reinventing oneself to adapt to new surroundings. For the series, Amber painted the figures and Jodi contributed with the environments, creating surreal outcomes. This work is on Yupo, an archival artist’s sheet that allows watercolor to behave in uncommon ways, with a contemporary aesthetic. The original work ships unframed, and is signed on the back by both artists. Can be mounted frameless with art magnets to the wall, or floated in a frame.
