About The Artwork

The inspiration for my painting is the place I visit and explored very often in pandemic time. Also I have been influenced by art of my favourite Polish artist Zdzislaw Beksinski. The colours used in this painting are related to the enviornment and they are neutral. I used natural materials to build the texture as well in some of areas of the painting. This artwork shows the authentic place in my individual abstract way.

I graduated Art and Design in Glasgow Kelvin College level HND2 in 2021. During in my 4 years of study I had opportunity to work on many projects using many techniques and showing process. In year 2020 I participated in student`s scheme working on my project for Glasgow School of Art. My abstract paintings represent the unique truth about me and about the world around me. I like to start with intuition and emotion when deciding about colours and shapes to use. I prefer to express my feelings and thoughts in abstract way rather than illustrate them. I think that now I am on the stage of liking the intuitive painting, abstract, abstract expressionism, and abstract figurative paintings. I am influenced by natural environment but also by dreams. I like painting made without control, and anything that is coming from the heart. I try to work in different techniques and materials. I use brushes, pallet knives, sticks, droppers, and many others. I am painting, pouring, washing, and even destroying. I love freedom of movement, dynamic use of splashing, flicks, and dropping. Sometimes I use organic pigments and natural materials to build the texture. I am working with acrylic paints and watercolour. I like relations between lines and spots. The colours, shapes and lines are creating a harmony and energetic power which can have impact on a viewer. Why for me is abstract so important? In abstract we can find different meaning of things. One person can admire different things than another. I think that abstract art always can surprise us and gives us the freedom of interpretation.
