About The Artwork
I was hiking on an ocean coastal trail on a peninsula called Bodega Head that overlooks a bay on one side and the ocean on the other. I took a photo of this rock in the grass and later decided to do a painting of it adding the hawk. Although the hawk is actually coming in for a soft landing and not a strike, I still wanted the sky to have a slightly ominous feeling. This painting is framed and ready to hang.
