Lovers in the Rain Painting

Born in Bedford, UK to Italian parents, I showed a strong passion talent for drawing and painting at a very young age. My parents moved to Luton when I was four, where they opened an Italian restaurant which became famous in the area for its faithfully typical Italian cuisine. I frequented the Barnfield College of Arts & Technology taking a four-year course in fashion design and clothing technology. I then worked in fashion houses in London, for about four years working with Inega Jeans and Rapture Jeans. I worked in the costume department during the making of the film Barry Lynden and some years later the film Revolution. Life, however, led me to take on very different professional paths. But, during these years I have never entirely abandoned my love of drawing and painting. In 1992, in an international ehìxhibition, I won hanging space for one year at the Limner Gallery of Soho in New York. I am now drawing and painting almost full time and space across a variety of mediums and styles and subjects. In this past year I have been enjoying doing some plein air painting of landscapes and Seascapes butbam also really enjoying making abstracts of various types. I am loving the fluid art of Dutch pouring, but also the many free-style forms of abstract expression. Three of my works are in a virtual show in the bi-annual USA tour 2024, Miami, Los Ageles & New York (NYC 4-7 April). In May 2923 I exhibited in a two day group exhibition "Donna in Luce" in Rome at the Pio Sodalizio Dei Piceni
